The Deaf Way on Childrens Day
Posted on November 15, 2009, by seogirl, under Charity, Children's Day, Deaf, General, The Family India.
Guys I attended the Deaf Way Fate organised by my friends associated with Family India yesterday in a nearby Ground. It had all the deaf students from different schools in and around the city beautiful participating in different events like drawing, painting, etc. and playing games at the stalls which were also being take care by Deaf people. The sponsors took care of the lunch as well.
Though it was quite silent which is an unlikely thing in a “Fate”, yet everybody was communicating with the signs. There was so much going on between themselves. It was Awesome. Really.
I could not take pictures though. I forgot to carry my camera along ( Silly Me ). But next time I will make sure I will get lots of Pics clicked and put them up here.
Keep coming back for more updates on whats up with Me.. I will write Soon..

The Family India – 5th August 2009, Bangalore at the Forum Koramangala
Posted on November 9, 2009, by seogirl, under Bangalore, Charity, Children's Day, Deaf, Girl Child, NGO, Personal, The Family India.
When I was in Bangalore/Bengaluru in August this year, it was by God’s grace that I had my first acquaintance with The Family India. Me and My friend, Jaspreet just finished with our shopping at the Forum Mall in Koramangala which was just about 2 kms from our guest house. We wanted to capture a moment forever outside the mall and just randomly , I called this girl with earplugs on and walking without taking notice of everything else around her. I called her twice ( I had no idea she had plugged in) and she stopped. She came up to us and the conversation began.

She(Sunshine Kiara) turned out to be a full time volunteer of this NGO, The Family India, and that’s where a small little turning point came into my life. We exchanged thoughts and I realized that this is what I would want to do. I want to make this world a better place. I came back to Chandigarh( my native place) and met “Sam” who works with the same NGO but in the north region. And now I will be attending the Deaf children Fair on the 14th of November, 2009 i.e. on the Children’s Day and help them with the kids. I am already getting such positive and feel good feelings inside me. I want to thank God who made me meet Sunshine (my friend) and then Sam. I cannot call it a coincidence. I have a gut feel that this was a part of God’s plan for me. Whatever it is, I am happy about it. This is adding more meaning to my life.
